The 2 Most Important Keys for the Overwhelmed Entrepreneur

One of the most effective ways to combat overwhelm is by gaining clarity and improving your focus. Additionally, becoming more organized can significantly impact your business growth. Many people struggle with organization, so I'll guide you through a system that can help you efficiently store and retrieve information when needed.

The Triple S Framework

I've developed a system called the Triple S framework to help manage information effectively.

Save

The first 'S' stands for 'Save'. In our information-rich age, we're constantly bombarded with data from various sources. While not all of this information is irrelevant, the challenge lies in processing it at the right time to avoid distractions and ensure proper retention.

For the 'Save' step, I recommend using a tool like Google Keep. It's available as a Chrome extension and a mobile app, making it easy to integrate into your existing Google ecosystem. As you come across valuable information or tasks throughout your day, you can quickly save them to Google Keep for later review.

Sort

The second 'S' in the framework stands for 'Sort'. Each morning, dedicate time to sort through the information you've saved. Open Google Keep and decide where each piece of information belongs. Does it fit into a project folder or a resource folder? For instance, if you've saved a book recommendation, you might add it to a 'Books to Read' spreadsheet in your preferred organizational tool, such as Notion.

By sorting information this way, you're not losing valuable data or trying to store everything in your mind. This approach helps prevent mental overload and allows your creativity and productivity to flourish.

Strategize

The final 'S' represents 'Strategize'. After sorting your information, take time to plan your day. Identify your most important projects and prioritize your tasks. This step is crucial for maintaining focus and making meaningful progress instead of jumping between tasks haphazardly.

As entrepreneurs, it's vital that we learn to be organized and focused. By limiting distractions and implementing a system to manage information effectively, we can significantly improve our productivity and business growth.
